salary and threatened that if she told anyone about those incidents, her personal pictures and
videos would be spread on various social media and her entire family would be killed.
After that, she stayed in a center in Saudi Arabia for three months in a state of mental turmoil
and fear. She could not contact anyone in the family for three months. From the center she was
sent to Bangladesh as a destitute on 07/11/2021. After landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International
Airport, in a physically and mentally vulnerable state she could not decide where to go. After that,
the Probashi Kalyan Desk of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport requested one ofthe migrant
service centers to provide necessary services to the destitute sick female migrant and find her
family and hand her over to her family. Nasima was then handed over to her family after
counseling her through the organization which provided safe shelter, food, and medical services.

Vadival hailing from Seranthangal, Kallakurichi District have three daughters and only one son.
He lived in a small hut which was not sufficient for 6 of them to stay. As a coolie, he worked in
the agricultural field especially to cut sugarcanes and load them on lorries. Besides, he also did
other work on the farming land. Whenever he worked he could earn Rs.400 a day. There was no
regular work. As the only breadwinner of my family, he found it very difficult to make both ends
meet. Because of the economic instability, he decided to go to Oman for work. He borrowed a
loan of Rs. 150,000 from the money-lender at high interest. He had to pay Rs.2,000
per month towards the
interest. The loan amount was
spent for going abroad
searching for a job. With the
hope of earning, he went to
Oman and worked for two
years. He was paid Rs.15, 000
per month as salary. During the
lockdown, he was not given
anything for six months except
food and he remained jobless.
The living condition in Oman,
during Covid-19, became very
bad and even shattered her
dreams of living a better life.
With lots of struggle and pain,
he came back to India safe.
